About Me

Since preschool, I’ve experienced color and composition as physical resonance within myself; a “taste” for placement and contrast.

Before I had words for abstraction, I had a sensory blueprint for it. My work today is an attempt to translate that internal data into a permanent, visceral language.

For years, that blueprint was shelved. I spent years navigating complex personal systems that demanded a different kind of survival. I moved through education, athletics and deep philosophy while my primary language remained silent, buried under the noise of a life that didn’t yet have room for it.

In 2017, I rediscovered this capacity, starting simply with paint mushed into saran wrap. That sparked a period of deep personal reclamation that culminated in 2021, when I recognized this work as my calling and centered it in my career. By 2024, I began integrating my background in Systems Science into the studio, treating my practice as infrastructure for a system of aesthetic delivery.

Today, I treat the canvas as a space for both structure and discovery. I take the raw material of a multifaceted life and refine it through a layered process where happy accidents and intentional systems collide.

I view this as a type of “Bhakti,” a Sanskrit term for devotional practice that embraces the interplay of Self and shadow. My process is a high-stakes collision of intentional systems and “creative destruction,” utilizing heavy-body acrylics, charcoal, fire, and solvents.

I don’t just paint; I refine the “scrap” of a complex life. From high-fidelity digital archiving to the final logistics of shipping from my Portland studio, every step is a deliberate act of transforming chaotic experience into something beautiful, tactile, and resolved.
